1. Scope
This policy applies to Curtains Home consultations, quotations and accepted orders. Because curtains, blinds, tracks and related components are commonly made or ordered for a particular property, the cancellation outcome depends on the stage reached and costs already committed. This policy does not reduce any mandatory rights under UAE consumer law.
2. Before accepting a quotation
You may decide not to proceed before accepting a quotation without an order-cancellation charge. Any separately agreed survey, design, sample, access or specialist service already completed remains payable where it was clearly disclosed in advance.
3. After order acceptance
Contact us immediately if you wish to cancel or change an accepted order. We will check whether fabric or hardware has been ordered, fabric has been cut, manufacture has begun, third-party costs have been committed, or services have already been performed.
- Before committed work or purchasing: we will normally cancel and return amounts paid, less any clearly agreed service already completed or non-refundable third-party charge.
- After materials or hardware are ordered: any recoverable amount will depend on supplier cancellation rights, committed costs and work completed.
- After cutting or custom manufacture begins: the bespoke portion is normally not cancellable for change of mind, but we will provide a fair written calculation and return any balance not reasonably committed.
- After delivery or installation: change-of-mind returns are generally unavailable for correctly supplied custom products. Defects and incorrect supply are handled under section 6 below.
4. Deposits
A deposit secures the order and allows purchasing and custom work to begin. It is not automatically forfeited in every cancellation. We assess the amount reasonably required for work performed, specially ordered materials, supplier charges and other unrecoverable commitments, then explain whether a balance is refundable or an additional amount is due.
5. Appointment and installation changes
Please give as much notice as possible to reschedule a consultation, measuring visit or installation. If a team attends but cannot gain access, the property is not ready, required permissions are missing, conditions are unsafe, or cancellation occurs after special access or labour has been committed, a reasonable return-visit or committed-cost charge may apply after we explain it.
6. Defective, damaged or incorrect work
If a product arrives damaged, does not operate correctly, or materially differs from the approved written specification, notify us as soon as reasonably possible. Include the order or invoice reference, a description, photographs or video where useful, and allow reasonable access for inspection.
Where an issue is confirmed, the appropriate remedy may be adjustment, re-performance of the service, repair, replacement, or a full or partial refund, depending on the nature of the issue, proportionality and applicable law. We will not require you to accept a term that unlawfully removes a consumer remedy.
7. What is not automatically a defect
Reasonable dye-lot, weave, texture or natural-fabric variation; appearance under different lighting; settling or transport creasing; pattern placement within normal manufacturing practice; and minor dimensional tolerances consistent with the approved treatment are not automatically defects. We assess every concern against the approved specification, sample, intended function and reasonable product standard.
8. Customer measurements and changes
Where a product was made from dimensions or specifications supplied by you and we did not verify them, an issue caused by that inaccurate information is not treated as incorrect manufacture. We will still try to offer a practical alteration or replacement quotation. Customer-requested design changes after approval are charged according to the additional work and materials required.
9. Refund method
Once a refund is approved, we will confirm the amount and expected processing method. Refunds are normally made to the original payer using the original payment route where practical. Bank and payment-provider processing times are outside our control.
10. How to request cancellation or a remedy
Contact us promptly with your name, property area, quotation or invoice reference and the action requested. We will acknowledge the request, review the project stage and provide the available options in writing.
