Key points before you order
- A website estimate, enquiry or home visit is not a confirmed order.
- Your order begins when you accept the final written quotation and make the required payment.
- Check every product, measurement, colour, control and installation detail before approval.
- Most products are made to measure. Cancellation may not be possible after materials are ordered or production begins.
- You must provide safe access and tell us about building rules, hidden services and unsuitable surfaces.
- Your quotation states the price, payment schedule, expected timing, installation scope and warranty.
The accepted quotation or order confirmation controls if it differs from this website. These terms do not remove any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to curtainshome.ae and to projects supplied under the Curtains Home trading name. The quotation, order confirmation or invoice identifies the legal supplier for each order.
We supply made-to-measure curtains, blinds, tracks, accessories and motorized systems. We also provide measuring, installation and related services in Dubai and other agreed UAE locations.
The website provides general information and an enquiry service. Sending an enquiry, using an estimate or booking a visit does not create a contract or guarantee availability.
2. Quotations and confirmed orders
A quotation is based on the recorded products, quantities, selections and site information. It is valid for the period stated on it.
An order becomes binding when:
- you accept the final written quotation or order confirmation;
- you approve the required specifications; and
- we receive the required deposit or payment.
Requested changes may affect the price, materials, dimensions or completion date. We will confirm material changes in writing before proceeding.
3. Measurements and site information
Our final measurements apply only to the approved work. Reasonable manufacturing and installation tolerances may apply.
You must tell us about:
- hidden pipes, cables or other services;
- weak, unusual or unfinished walls and ceilings;
- building-management rules, permits and access limits;
- planned changes to the installation area; and
- anything else that may affect safe fixing.
If you provide measurements, drawings or specifications, you are responsible for their accuracy unless we replace them with verified measurements in writing. A product made from incorrect customer measurements may not qualify for a refund.
4. Samples, colours and approval
Samples and screen images are guides. Actual appearance can vary because of lighting, screen settings, fabric texture, weave, pile, pattern placement, natural variation or dye lot.
Before approval, check the recorded fabric, colour, lining, heading, dimensions, control side, hardware, motor and other specifications. Tell us immediately if anything is incorrect.
5. Made-to-measure products
Most products are made or ordered for specific windows. They may not be suitable for resale.
Changes or cancellation may create non-recoverable costs once we order or cut fabric, order hardware or begin production. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Nothing in that policy limits a right provided by applicable law.
6. Prices, deposits and payment
Your quotation or invoice states the price, deposit, instalments, accepted payment methods and applicable VAT treatment.
Unless expressly included, the price does not cover:
- electrical or building work;
- scaffolding or specialist access;
- permits, parking or building charges;
- removal, storage or making good; or
- third-party smart-home integration.
Payments must be made by the stated due dates. We may pause ordering, production, delivery or installation while an amount is overdue.
7. Lead times and delays
Lead times are estimates unless we guarantee a date in writing. Timing begins after final approval, cleared payment and receipt of all required information.
We will communicate material delays where reasonably possible. Events outside our reasonable control may include supplier disruption, shipping delays, restricted access, customer changes, unsafe conditions, unavailable utilities or authority requirements. We will take reasonable steps to reduce their effect.
8. Access and installation
You must provide safe and timely access to the correct property. You must also:
- obtain required landlord or building approvals;
- clear the installation area and protect valuables;
- arrange parking, permits or access where required; and
- provide an adult authorised to approve positioning and completion.
Our installers may stop work if the property, fixing surface, hidden services or electrical conditions appear unsafe or unsuitable.
A return visit or additional work may be chargeable when caused by denied access, undisclosed conditions, incomplete building work or customer-requested changes. We will explain the additional charge before proceeding where reasonably possible.
9. Motorized and smart systems
Performance and compatibility depend on the approved motor, load, power supply, wiring, hub, network and third-party platform.
Required electrical work must be completed by an appropriately qualified person. Third-party apps and services may change or become unavailable. We do not control those services. The quotation will record the included motor, controls, compatibility and commissioning work.
10. Inspection, completion and problems
Inspect the products and work promptly after delivery or installation. Contact us as soon as reasonably possible if you find:
- an incorrect item;
- visible damage;
- an operating problem; or
- a material difference from the approved specification.
We may request photographs or reasonable access to assess the problem. A valid issue may be addressed by adjustment, re-performance, repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Natural fabric variation, reasonable tolerances, settling, minor transport creasing and normal maintenance needs are not necessarily defects. Blackout fabric also does not guarantee the removal of every edge or installation gap.
11. Warranty and aftercare
The quotation, invoice, handover document or warranty document states the applicable warranty. Manufacturer warranties may have separate conditions.
Follow the supplied operating, cleaning and care instructions. Our Warranty & Aftercare Policy explains coverage, exclusions and how to request support.
12. Ownership and risk
You become responsible for looking after products when they are delivered or installed at the agreed property.
Where permitted by law, ownership of unpaid products remains with the supplier until the relevant invoice is paid in full.
13. Our responsibility
We will provide the agreed products and services with reasonable care and skill. We will also provide any remedy required by applicable law.
We are not responsible for loss caused by:
- incorrect or incomplete customer information;
- misuse or unauthorised alterations;
- unsuitable existing structures or systems;
- failure to follow care instructions; or
- third-party work outside our agreed scope.
We do not exclude liability where exclusion would be unlawful. This includes applicable consumer remedies and liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Business customers may have additional commercial terms in the accepted quotation or contract.
14. Website content and intellectual property
Curtains Home owns or licenses the website text, design and original images. You may not copy or commercially reuse them without permission.
Website information is general and may change. External links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party websites or content.
15. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
16. Complaints, law and disputes
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly and promptly.
These terms and related contracts are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or jurisdiction, the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
17. Changes and severability
We may update these website terms for future use. The version incorporated into an accepted order continues to apply to that order unless a change is agreed or required by law.
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
