A consultation helps translate an inspiration image or general idea into an approved treatment that suits the real window. We bring relevant samples, inspect access and fixing conditions, measure, then prepare a written proposal. Choosing the right treatment

Is the home consultation free?
The standard home consultation is complimentary in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, subject to appointment confirmation. Any exceptional access or specialist survey requirement is disclosed before booking.
How long does a custom order take?
Lead time depends on fabric availability, hardware, motorization, approvals and project size. The written quotation gives the current estimate after the specification is known.
Do you supply fabric samples?
Relevant samples are shown during consultation. Availability, dye lot and final approval should be confirmed before ordering.
Can you make curtains from my measurements?
Potentially, but you are responsible for customer-supplied dimensions unless we later verify and replace them in writing. A professional survey reduces avoidable risk.
Do blackout curtains block all light?
Blackout fabric blocks light through the material, but normal installation gaps can remain. Track position, overlap, returns and complementary blinds affect total room darkness.
Do sheers provide privacy?
They can soften the view during daylight, but they do not reliably provide privacy at night when interior lights are on.
Which blind is easiest to maintain?
A simple roller blind is often easier to dust than a fabric Roman blind. Actual care depends on fabric coating, location and manufacturer guidance.
Can curtains and blinds be motorized?
Many tracks and selected blinds can be motorized. Dimensions, weight, power, access and control platform must be checked before approval.
Can motorized curtains work with Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home?
Compatibility depends on the exact motor, hub and integration method. A supported bridge or third-party automation system may be required.
Do you remove old curtains or blinds?
Removal and disposal are included only when stated in the quotation. Tell us what exists so access and disposal can be planned.
What should be ready before installation?
The area should be clear, final finishes complete, building permission obtained and safe access available. Required electrical work should be completed by the responsible qualified party.
What happens if the wall or ceiling cannot support the fixing?
Installation may pause while suitable backing, repair or an alternative fixing method is agreed. Hidden services and weak substrates should be disclosed where known.
How are deposits and payments handled?
The quotation or invoice states the deposit, instalments, payment method and any VAT treatment. Custom work begins only after the required approval and payment.
Can a custom-made order be cancelled?
Contact us immediately. The outcome depends on whether materials were ordered or cut, manufacture began or services were performed. See the published cancellation policy.
How do I request aftercare?
Send the order reference, description and photos or video to sales@curtainshome.ae. Stop using an item if continued operation could cause damage or a safety risk.
